And if I feel like it, I just might, cause I know I know I’m tight to def.
Ok, I’m done quoting obscure hip hop songs. But this is very tempting. It’s a brand new Jetta, I can pay cash for it and it’s in a color combo that I like. All for $13,000.

Just make sure that’s not the all discounts price. Also don’t forget tax and title costs.

Before you do anything crazy...make sure you really drive the damn thing. They are painfully slow.

Even with the 1.8t? When did 170hp become slow?

1.8T is good this model has the old 2.0L N/A motor...hence the cheap price.

I had a 2013 2.5 SE with an auto and it was nice. It didn’t feel like you were really doing 90 on the interstate and also got great gas mileage. I was disappointed with the ride, it took bumps hard but the handling was nice on a twisty road. It’s not 90s economy car slow but it’s by no means quick.

You must resist the pull of the low price Jetta. Buy a cool Audi for the same price.

This, all the way. I couldn’t fathom how uninspiring they were. And I came out of a 15 year old F-150 before I test drove one. I wanted to go to sleep halfway through the test drive, and then rest of the test drive just wanted it to be over.

They are still using the 2.0L engine?! I thought the base models had the 2.5L 5 cylinder. My fiancee’s ‘04 Bug has the 2.0L engine and I can confirm that it is a little slow.

2.5 was dropped in favor of the 1.8T, and they brought back the 2.0 as a “lease special” to get the cheapskates into the dealerships.

I guess they don’t call them the 2.slow for nothing, haha.
My A4 2.8 is extremely slow though also.

Actually yeah, fuck that. I just looked at the performance specs, they’re scary.

Last time I rode in one the interior seemed really hollow and lack of a better term squeaky. Like things weren't fitting right. Also that 2.0 man. There just isn't much you can do with it. Still a good looking car. You just have to get the right spec.

I sat in a base Golf at an auto show earlier this year, it felt surprisingly solid for a base model car. I’ll look for the 1.8T a bit more though. Something more like this would probably be better, as long as I could get it around the $14,000 mark.
